Robert ”Bob” McCauley

Age 62

Robert ”Bob” McCauley 62 of Lisbon Street, Wellsville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2002 at home following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Wellsville, Ohio on May 9, 1939, the son of the late Harvey and Dorothy Croskey McCauley.

Living his entire life in Wellsville, Mr. McCauley retired in 1982 from the former Crucible Steel Company in Midland, PA where he worked in the Bar Finishing Mill, rolling steel. He graduated in 1957 from Wellsville High School, was a member of the Wellsville Eagles, Lodge # 772, a social member of East Liverpool Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 66 and a member of East Liverpool Orioles, Nest 69.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne L. Malone McCauley, whom he married June 10, 1960; two sons, Jonathan McCauley of Wellsville and Michael McCauley and his wife, Vicki of Wellsville; two daughters, Stephanie Furbee and her husband, Gene of Hammondsville, OH and Peggy Santimarino and her husband, Jim of Hammondsville, OH; two brothers, Harvey McCauley of Wellsville, OH and James McCauley of East Liverpool, OH; two sisters, Saundra White of Arizona and Dorothy Lynn of Clearwater, FL; 8 Grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Patterson.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer

Funeral Homes on Friday, January 4, 2002 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert Phillips of Riverview United Methodist Church, Toronto, OH, officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville, today, Thursday, January 3, 2002 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, where a Eagle Service will be held at 7:00 PM

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Durante Childrens Fund, 334 Main Street, Wellsville, Ohio 43968.

Dear Joann, Stephanie, Mike, John, and Peggy Sue, So sorry to hear of your loss. I hear he was loved by his grandchildren like Pa was loved by us. That is a wonderful tribute.
