Robert Arthur Willis
Age: 57

Robet Arthur Willis, 57, of Chester Avenue, Wellsville, OH died on Friday, January 3, 2003 at East Liverpool City Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in East Liveprool, Ohio on February 9, 1945, a son of Mildred Cochran Willis of Wellsville, OH and the late Robert William Willis.

Mr. Willis retired from the US Navy as a Senior Chief. While in the US Navy, he was awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal Korea, Expert Pistol Ribbon, VietNam Service Medal6, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon3, Sixth Good Conduct Award for Period Ending 87AUG28, Navy Battle"E" Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation2, Presidential Unit Citation, Combat Action Ribbon, National Service Defense Medal and the Republic of VietNam Campaign Medal with Ribbon Bar.

His wife, Hisayo "JunKo" Honaka Willis, whom he married July 24, 1968, died August 15, 2000.

Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother, Keith Willis and his wife, Bonnie of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters: Linda Sanders of East Liverpool, OH and Sherry Eardley and her husband, Bill of Fort Sill, OK as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and father, he is preceded in death by a brother, James Willis.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Duane Hetzer, Chaplain of East Liveprool City Hospital officiating. The American Legion Post 442 from Salineville, Ohio will accord Military honors.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville on Wednesday, from Noon until the time of service.
