Nolan, Rita C. Coyne, 86, of Glen Dale, WV, died Sunday, September 23, 2012 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling, WV.
She was born December 6, 1925 in Bridgeport, OH, a daughter of the late Terrence and Mary Catherine Cain Coyne.
Mrs. Nolan was a graduate of the Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing, Nurse Cadet Program in 1946, and was retired from the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, where she served as a registered nurse and Director of Nursing Services. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Glen Dale.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Nolan, in 2009; three brothers, Patrick, Terrence and Thomas Coyne; three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Ireland, Sister Rita Clare Coyne Margaret Ann Coyne and Rosalene Striley.
Surviving are four sons, John W. Darlene Nolan, Jr. of Triadelphia, WV, Dennis Jean Nolan of Elk Grove Village, IL, Michael Sherry Nolan of Wheeling, and Thomas Vinita Nolan of Angelton, TX; two daughters, Mary Jane Jess Parkhill of Strasburg, OH and Margaret Brafchak of Glen Dale; a brother, John “Jack” Jody Coyne of Weirton, WV; a sister, Theresa Carnahan of Martins Ferry, OH; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
Please join Rita’s family in a celebration of her life at a Memorial Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at St. Jude Catholic Church, Glen Dale, with Rev. Ranjan Ekka, TOR as celebrant.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

T and Family, My deepest sympathy on the passing of “Nolan”, as I knew her. She was my supervisor at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in 1973. She was a wonderful, caring person and nurse.
