Rico Ladaniel Wiliams Johnson, 39, of Weirton, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015, in Weirton Medical Center.
Rico was born August 13, 1975 in Wheeling, a son of Darlene Williams of Wheeling and the late Cornelius Johnson, Sr. He was a former employee of Weirton Medical Center and was a mentor to many young children.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Sara Hocker; maternal grandmother, Mae Williams; brother, Orlando Williams, sister, Corvita Johnson; uncles, Butch Johnson, Willie Johnson and Daryl Williams; and nephew, Adrian Lachang Henry.
In addition to his mother, Rico is survived by his two children, Rikell Johnson of Tennessee and Ladaniel Johnson of Weirton; former wife, Jullie Johnson of East Liverpool, Ohio; step-mother, Jonn Johnson of Weirton; brothers, Cornelius Johnson Jr. and Dondie Williams, both of Wheeling; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Friends will be received from 11 am until time of services at 1 pm, Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at the Wayman A.M. E. Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Deborah J. Watt officiating. Arrangements are by Altmeyer Funeral Home, Wheeling. Online condolences may be offered to the family at altmeyer.com
