Rickey W. Craft, Sr., 58, went to be with the Lord February 11, 2014. He was born locally to the late William H. Craft Sr. and Annie Ewell Craft. Besides his father, he is also preceded by a brother, William H. Craft Jr. Rickey was an avid race fan, enjoyed hunting, woodworking and other crafts.
Left to cherish his memory besides his mother is his loving wife of 38 years, Anita Craft; son, Rick W. Craft, II; daughter, Shannon Craft; brother, R.D. “Dee” Craft; sister, Debra Culpepper; as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11 am at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd. Virginia Beach, VA 23464. Burial will follow at Willowwood Cemetery. Please visit www. Altmeyer.com to leave a note to the family.

Anita and family, it was my honor to have had the pleasure to work with Rickey in construction years ago. I always considered him a friend even though I chose a different path and went to work at the Sheriff’s Office.
