RICHARD LEONARD CARTER Age 72
Beloved husband, father, brother, and friend passed away on Friday, January 13, 2012.
He was born August 5, 1939 in Avella, PA, the son of the late Lawrence Leo Carter, Sr. and Clarinda Page Carter. He was preceded in death by his brothers Lawrence Leo “Buddy” Carter, Jr. and Thomas Jerome “Poppa” Carter; his sisters, Audrey Mae Carter McCoy and Shirley “Chicken” Carter Paige. He leaves behind his wife Kim Carter; daughter, Shawna Carter; grandson, Andrew Carter; two brothers Herman Carter and Walter Carter; two sisters Conola Carter Harris and Donna Carter-Terry; and a host of family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012, at Macedonia Baptist Church, 105 12th Street, Wheeling, WV 26003 with Rev. Willie Nevels officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the services at the church. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
