GORDON, Richard C. Dick Sr. 72, of Willow Lane, Bethlehem, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 in Wheeling Hospital.
Dick was born September 21, 1933 in Benwood, a son of the late Nicholas and Josephine Gordon.
He was a driver and salesman for the former Gast Bakery, Wheeling and retired from Continental Baking Co.; a graduate of Union High School; a former Benwood councilman; and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elm Grove.
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores M. Wendel Gordon in 2005; four brothers, Walter, Leonard, Henry and Alec Gordon; and a sister, Jenny Jura.
Surviving are three sons, Richard C. Gordon Jr., David A. Gordon, and Brian L. Gordon and his wife Valleri, all of Wheeling; two daughters, Terry E. Williamson husband, Philip Williamson, deceased of Benwood, and Bonnie L. Golich and her husband Frank of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Alice Baron of Benwood, and Jean McGonigal and her husband Rod of Wheeling; a brother, Jerry Gordon and his wife Zetta of Wheeling; five granddaughters, Amanda and Kara Gordon, Dana and Emily Golich, and Ana Williamson; two grandsons, Alexander and Zachary Gordon.
Friends will be received from Noon to 3 and 5-8 pm Sunday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where vigil services will be held at 7:30 pm Sunday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday, June 5, 2006 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. James LaCrosse as celebrant. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

Brian, Valleri and family,

I would like to express my family’s deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to the passing of Brian’s father Mr. Richard C. Gordon, Sr. May him reat in peace. God bless you and your family.

It must be very difficult time for both of you and the kids. Please let us know if there is any thing that we can do for you or for the kids to help just a little.
