Rebecca M. Yavelak 86, of Belmont, OH, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at her home.
She was born October 13, 1928 at Bellaire, OH a daughter of the late Wyatt and Tressie Hamilton Patterson.
She was a former member of the Giffin Park Church, St.Clairsville and Secretary of The American Society of Mining Engineers.
In addition to her parents Rebecca was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathaniel David Yavelak.
Surviving is her husband of 69 years, William George Yavelak, her son, William Michael Alexandria Yavelak of Belmont, OH, her daughter Diane Jean Thomas Brossart of Payson, AZ, a sister Anna Louise Fox of Colorado, two grandchildren, Rachel Diana Yavelak Esq., Lexington, KY and Dr. William James Gina Yavelak, Salt Lake City, UT, three great grandsons; Joshua Michael Wilhelm, William Charles Yavelak, and Andrew James Yavelak.
Friends will be received from 11 am until the time of Rebecca’s funeral service at 1 pm Saturday at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, 204 West Main Street, St.Clairsville, OH, with her son William Yavelak officiating. Interment will follow in Warnock Cemetery.
