Raymond J. Hummel

Raymond J. Hummel, 83 of Moundsville, WV died Wednesday, November 14, 2001 in the Shadyside Care Center, Shadyside, Ohio. He was the late son of Charles J. and Nancy J. Plants Hummel. He was a retired machinist from the former Triangle Conduit Co., GlenDale; a member of the First Christian Church, Moundsville and a volunteer for Reynolds Memorial Hospital. He was an Army veternan of WW II; a member of the Moundsville VFW Post 437; Knights of Pythias; the Christian Mens Fellowship and Berean Fellowship Class at the First Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles R. Hummel; a sister and a stepsister. Surviving are his wife Alice A. Gorby Hummel; a daughter Mrs. Raymond Karen Gast of Moundsville; a brother, Earl F. Hummel of Moundsville; two grandsons. Friends recieved 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville where services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am.
