Raymond F. Robinson, Sr.
Raymond F. Robinson, Sr., 76, of Lang Street, East Liverpool, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at East Liverpool City Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on May 21, 1926 the son of the late Howard and Ann Williams Robinson.
Mr. Robinson retired in 1982 from the former Crucible Steel Mill in Midland, Pennsylvania, where he worked as a welder. After his retiremnet from the mill, he worked at Giant Eagle in Calcutta, retiring from there in 1994. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II. He belonged to the American Legion, Post 374 in East Liverpool, Ohio, was a life member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Post 66 in East Liverpool, Ohio and was a former member of the Moose Lodge in East Liverpool, Ohio. He was a member of St. Stephen Episcopal Church in East Liverpool, Ohio
He is survived by his wife June Plant Robinson at home, whom he married July 1, 1950.
He is survived by a son, Raymond F. Robinson, Jr. of Youngstown, Ohio; a daughter, Linda Sue Robinson of East Liverpool, Ohio; two brothers, Howard Robinson of Kentucky and Sherwood Robinson of East Liverpool, Ohio.
Services will be held at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 220 West 4th Street, East Liverpool, Ohio on Friday, July 12, 2002 at 11:00 AM with Father Scott Woodstuff of the church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park where the Tri State Burial Group will accord full military honors.
The family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Thursday July 11, 2002 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
