Randall E. “Randy” Ruble, 64, of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Saturday December 3, 2011 in Wheeling Hospital Wheeling, WV.
Randy was born May 26, 1947 in New Martinsville, WV, a son of the late Rosswell E. and Hazel L. Potts Ruble.
He was a former teacher from the Bridgeport School District, a substitute teacher in Marshall County Schools and owner of the former Captina Marine Sales.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Powhatan Point, Ohio where he served as a Church Elder. He was a 1965 graduate of Powhatan High School and a graduate of West Liberty State College. a member of Masonic Lodge Moriah # 105 F & A.M. where he served as current treasurer, Scottish Rite 32 degree Valley of Steubenville, Osiris Shrine Temple of Wheeling and the Order of Eastern Star Captina Chapter #489.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was a nephew, Zachary Ruble.
Surviving is his wife, Linda Simmons Ruble, a sister, Pamela David Fox of Glen Dale, WV, a brother, James “Jay” Paula Ruble of Maysville, KY, brother-in-law, Gregory Debbie Simmons of La Plata, MD, a sister-in-law, Bobbie Ron Bettinazzi of Parker CO, Mother-in-law, Lucille Simmons of Moundsville, WV, five nephews, Gregory D. Rita Fox, Ryan E. Suzanne Fox, Nathan R. Ruble, Luke Sara Bettinazzi and Matthew Simmons, two nieces, Alison Britt Crowell and Caitlin Simmons.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory 186 Main Street Powhatan Point, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday with Reverend Greg Stone officiating.
Interment will be in Powhatan Cemetery Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Eastern Star Services Tuesday at 7:00p.m. followed by Masonic services at 7:15p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Osiris Shrine Transportation Fund Monument Place Wheeling, WV. 26003 or the First Presbyterian Church Powhatan Point, Ohio.

I am so sorry to hear of Randy’s passing. I talked with him a couple of weeks ago at the funeral home. I wanted to come to the funeral home for visitation, but was not able to make it due to work. He was a great friend as well as you. If you need anything, please ask. I know what you are going through, it is difficult. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
