MCKEEN, R. Paul, Sr., 75, of Wheeling, WV, died Saturday, October 5, 2002 in Wheeling Hospital. He was born July 4, 1927 in Wheeling, son of the late Leroy and Nettie Witzberger McKeen. He was owner/operator of R. Paul McKeen Trucking Co.; a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Voltz McKeen, in 1994; two sisters, Juanita Bushon and Anetta Gellner; and a brother, Leroy William McKeen. Surviving are three sons, Ralph P. McKeen, Jr. and his wife Renee, Patrick R. McKeen and his wife, Susan, Kevin M. McKeen and his wife, Linda, all of Atlanta, Georgia. a daughter, Sharon L. LeMasters and her husband, Dennis of Bristol, Ind., a brother, James McKeen and his wife, Patricia of Bethany, WV., three sisters, Kathleen Och, Marilyn Smith and Sandra Porter and her husband, Russell, all of Wheeling; seven grandchildren; and a friend, Evelyn Nickerson of Wheeling. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Wheeling, with vigil service to be held at 7:45 p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. James LaCrosse, S.M. as celebrant. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adopt a Student program at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 2244 Marshall Ave., Whg., WV 26003.
