Phyllis Lee Arnold 79, of Bellaire, OH, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in the Belmont Community Hospital.

She was born April 27, 1928 in Shadyside, a daughter of the late Russell and Leatha Mahaffee Eaton Nelson.

Phyllis was retired from the former M. Marsh and Sons in Wheeling, was a member of the Bellaire Christian Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary, Shadyside.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband James Arnold in 1968.

Surviving are 4 children; Kay Ann Zacharias and her husband Warren of Shadyside, Jamie Arnold of Abingdon, VA, Lesley Sue Munjas and her husband Mike of Bellaire, Tracy Arnold and her companion Dan Nicholson of Beech Bottom, WV, a sister Shirley Taylor and her husband James of Bellaire, 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Friends will be received on Friday, April 25 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3900 Central Ave., Shadyside, where services will be held on Saturday, April.26, at 1:00pm with Pastor Kurt Turner officiating.

Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shadyside Care Center Activities Fund.
