I was only a teenager when I first met Phyllis in 1972. I will always cherish the freindship that she offered from the very first. I have always felt welcome even as the time slipped away and visits were less frequent. Phone calls kept us in touch and up-to-date on each others lives but are never the same as being able to share a hug. We shared both tears of joy and of sadness. Her advice was never pushed on others but always there if you asked. I will forever remember her kindness and caring to all she came in contact with. I am thankful that I was able to return to the Ohio Valley area and renew a closer friendship with both Phyllis and Ed. It was as if time hadn’t passed so quickly. She truly made this world a better place. My thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost a beautiful part of their family.

My sympathy to the Tolpa Family.

Ed and Phyllis were friends of my parents, Mary and Richard. I just wanted to let Ed know that he is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. You guys were there for my Dad during his illness and every time you and Phyllis stopped in to see him when I was around he just perked up so much. Thanks for everything you did for my parents over the years.
