Phyllis Colleen Thomas, 79, of Shadyside, Ohio died Friday January 11, 2008 at the Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.
She was born April 23, 1928 in Shadyside, Ohio a daughter of the late Marvin M. and Esther M. Powell Greenwood, Sr.
Phyllis was a former employee of the former Hazel Atlas Glass Company in Wheeling, West Virginia, a member of the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside, Ohio and the Four Leaf Clover Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin M. Greenwood, Jr. on September 9, 1987.
Surviving are her husband, Robert M. Moe Thomas, whom she married on September 20, 1953, three children, Douglas M. Doris Thomas of Bridgeport, Ohio, Jay R. Denise Thomas of Shadyside, Ohio and Colleen Tim Frazier of Shadyside, Ohio. Also five granddaughters, Cindy David McCartney of Delaware, Ohio, Jennifer Thomas of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Melissa Thomas of Bridgeport, Ohio, Christa Frazier of Shadyside, Ohio and Brandy Warren of Shadyside, Ohio and one great grandson, Grayson McCartney of Delaware, Ohio.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio on Sunday from 12 Noon to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where services will be held on Monday at 11 am with the Rev. Donald Perks officiating. Interment in the Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
