Williamson, Philip R., 43, of Benwood, WV died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004 at home. He was born February 8, 1961 in GlenDale, WV. He was an employee of Allegheny Ludlum, Washington, Pa; a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Elm Grove, Wheeling and a graduate of John Marshall High School and West Liberty State College. He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Williamson. Surviving are his wife Terry E. Gordon Williamson; his mother, Alverda Blake Williamson of Moundsville; a daughter, Ana J. Williamson at home; a brother, James R. Williamson and his wife Margaret of Moundsville; two sisters, Vicki S. Keller of Colorado Springs, Colo. And Debby L. Grondalski and her husband John of Parkersburg, WV; his father and mother-in-law, Richard C. Sr. and Dolores Gordon, of Wheeling; several nieces and nephews. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004 at the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Wheeling with Rev. James LaCrosse S.M. as celebrant. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 805 5th St., Moundsville, WV 26041

Dear Terry, Ana, and Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Words can’t express what our hearts feel. It’s so hard to lose the people we love. Phil was such a wonderful husband , father, and friend. May God reward him and comfort you.

Mrs. Williamson,

Please accept my condolences on your loss. I graduated with Phil from JMHS, as well as West Liberty. I got to know Phil better at WLSC, and although I didn’t see him much after graduation, our discussion always went toward “how the Pirates are doing”. May God’s peace be with you and your family in this time of need.
