PETER DiSABATINO, 85, of Dayton, OH, formerly of Bellaire, OH, died Monday, August 24, 2009 in Dayton.

He was born July 5, 1924.

Peter served in the Navy during WWII in the First Beach Battalion, was a member of the DAV, serving as Chaplain, the American Legion Post 52 and the VFW Post 626, all of Bellaire, and numerous Animal Humane Societies.

In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Carmela “Millie” Giovinazzo DiSabatino on July 16, 2009.

He was truly devoted to his family and will be deeply missed.

Surviving are 2 children; Marlene Klamut and her husband Donald of Dayton, formerly of Wheeling, Judy Pasden and her husband Richard of Columbus, formerly of Wheeling, and 5 grandchildren; Justin Klamut and his wife Karen of Wheeling, Corey Klamut and his wife Stephanie and Jessalyn of Nakina, NC, Adam Klamut and his wife Monica of Wheeling, Ryan Pasden and his wife Aeriel of Columbus, and Josh Pasden and his wife Coleen and Albany his greatgranddaughter of Columbus.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441-37th St., Bellaire, where services will be held on Thursday at 11:00am.

Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Wheeling.

A combined military service will be conducted on Wednesday at 7:00pm by the DAV, American Legion and VFW in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter.

Marlene, I am so sorry to know that you have lost your beloved parents in such a short time. I know they wanted to be together, so I am sure now they are happy and at peace. Please know that you are in my prayers daily and send you all my love.
