Perry E. Wright Jr., age 73, of Chester, W.Va. died on Sunday, March 25, 2006, at the East Liverpool City Hospital after a two year illness.

Mr. Wright was born in Chester on October 5, 1932, the son of the late Perry E. Wright Sr. and Margaret Goppert Wright. He had lived his entire life in the Chester area, working as First Helper on the Electric Arch Furnace at the former McIntosh Hemphill before retiring in 1990.

He was a Veteran serving with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion post 121.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Skeens Wright whom he married November 8, 1953, and a son, Darrell G. Wright and his wife, Jody, of East Liverpool.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wright was preceded in death by a sister, Sara Marton.

Services will be held at the East Liverpool Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, March 27, 2006, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bill Wagner of the Pleasant Heights Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the East Liverpool Chapel today, March 26, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
