STEWART, Paul Vernon88, of Wheeling, WV, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling. Paul was born March 21, 1914, at Wheeling, the son of the late John and Carrie Committee Stewart. He was a Catholic by faith; a former member of Wheelng Ealges Aerie 344, where he held various offices; a longtime Wheelng barber at Stewart’s Barbering for 65 years; and a veteran of the West Virginia State Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three half sisters, Genieve Stewart; Jess Carroll and Marion Kidd; two brothers, Leroy Stewart and John Jack Stewart. Surviving are his wife, Anna Susie Johnson Stewart; two daughters, Sondra Earliwine of Mozart, Wheelng. Drusilla Rogerson and her husband, Albert, of Strongsville, Ohio; a son, Paul V. Stewart Jr. and his wife, Joann, of San Jose, CA; two sisters Norma Ball of Weirton, WV, Audrey Michaels and her husband, Bill, of Easton, PA; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, where service will be held at 10 am Wednesday Dec. 4, 2002, with the Rev. Larry Dorsch officiating. Interment will followed at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Activities Dept., 159 Edgington Lane, Wheeling, WV 26003.
