Paul Pershing Conner, 96, of Moundsville, W.Va., passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015, in Mound View Health Care, Moundsville.

Paul was born November 18, 1918 in Fairview, Marshall County, W.Va., a son of the late Lawrence F. and Lucille Yocum Conner. He was retired from LCP Chemical; a former bus driver for the Marshall County Senior Center; and was active in the Marshall County Community, including the Marshall County Fair.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma J. Bonnette Conner; a son, Lawrence C. Conner; and three brothers, Levi, Cecil and Francis Conner.

Paul is survived by his four children, Paul Conner, Jr. and his wife, Ruth of New Martinsville, W.Va., Franklin Conner of Tyler County, W.Va., Dollie Foster and her husband, Bill of Moundsville and Tammy White and her husband, Donnie of Moundsville; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Paul’s family would like thank the staff at Mound View for the excellent care that their father received during his time there.

Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, on Saturday, February 14, 2015, from 11 am until time of funeral services at 1 pm, with Brother Paul K. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Senior Center, 805 5th Street, Moundsville, WV 26041.
