TORBETT, Paul E. 66, of Hickory Lane, Wheeling, died Thursday, February 26, 2004 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.
Paul was born September, 10, 1937 in Wheeling, a son of the late James and Elizabeth Kretchen Torbett.
He was retired from Nickles Bakery, Martins Ferry, with 25 years of service, was a part-time security officer at the Ohio County Courthouse, a former Wheeling Fireman and was U.S. Army Reserves Veteran. He also was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Wheeling, the Lewis-Wetzel Rifle and Pistol Club, the Scottish Rite, York Rite and Nelson Lodge, Wheeling.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Templin Torbett of Wheeling; five children, Joe Templin and his wife Charlene of Wheeling, Lori Riser and her husband Bob of California, MD, George Templin and his wife Carol of Wheeling, Lisa Templin of Wheeling and Terri Powell and her husband Steve of Lexington, KY; a sister, Cathy Torbett of Wheeling; and eight grandchildren, Ryan Templin, Alexis Templin, Regan Templin Stein, Rachel Riser, Samuel Riser, Tony Rich, Andy Rich and Stacy Rich.
There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 am, Saturday, February 28, 2004 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Marian S. Mazgaj officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Webark, Rd. 1, Box 4312, Campbell Hill, Moundsville, WV, 26041.
Arrangements are by Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling.

I worked with Paul at the courthouse and Day Report Center for the last couple of years.

I respected him, and enjoyed when he was around. He was a good man, and a great friend. I will miss him.

May GODS SPEED carry him and help your family through this. I am Truly Sorry for your loss.
