Patrick Smith, 53, of Benwood, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 in Ohio Valley Medical Center.
He was born September 5, 1961, a son of the late Alfred and Hazel Williams Smith. Patrick was a catholic by faith, a member of the Benwood Volunteer Fire Department, a Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #200.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one son, Patrick Samuel Smith and one brother, Dennis Smith.
Patrick is survived by two daughters; Heidi and Heather Smith, four sisters; Teresa Smith, Paula Smith, Mary Ratliff, and Elizabeth Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 1pm until time of service at 2pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 215 Marshall Street, McMechen.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Benwood Volunteer Fire Department, 434 Main St., Benwood, WV 26031.

I feel deeply sympathy for the loss of his to his families and friends. He no longer suffers in the hand of Jesus Christ as our Savior. He rest in peace and walks unto godly kingdom. Pat was very wonderful, caring, good spiritful helper to others’ needy and faithful person that we remembered. We never say good bye until near our ages.
Pat will be missed by everyone who knew him. I am glad he is no longer suffering. I am glad he is reunited with Sammy, Denny, Al and Hazel…I will miss him.
