On November 28, 2001, Odessa Mae Pollack of Highland Avenue, Shadyside, Ohio, went to dwell with our Lord and Savior.
She was born in Graysville, Ohio to the late Mathias and Ida Smith Lisk on May 23, 1906, and lived to be 95.
Odessa was a Christian and walked with the Lord on her journey through life. Anyone fortunate to have known her has been truly blessed.
She leaves behind three daughters, Ruth Andrews Carpenter and her husband, Ken of Ellensburg, Washington; Jeanie Andrews Schafer of Spokane, Washington; and JoAnn Pollack Wells and her husband, Gary of Shadyside, Ohio. A gentle, kind, tender and loving grandmother of seventeen and great grandmother of twenty three.
Odessa has joined her two daughters, Maxine Andrews Whitmore and Rose Marie Andrews Meek, along with the following family members, husband,Harvey Andrews; infant son, Harvey, Jr.; husband, Joseph Pollack; grandson, Randy Meek, granddaughter, Aven Lee Whitmore, two sisters and five brothers.
Odessa was a long time member of the Bellaire Christian Church and Loyal Daughters Class.
Odessa will be at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside and respects can be expressed to the family on Friday November 30, 2001 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM where services will be held on Saturday, December 1,2001, at 11 AM with the Reverends Ron Williams and Paul Johnson officiating. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire.
At her request, the family asks that any remembrances of Odessa be given to the Shadyside Emergency Squad, 4210 Central Avenue, Shadyside, Ohio 43947.
