Virginia Beach- Norma Frances Thorne Dawson, 77, died March 21, 2001 in a local hospital. She was a volunteer and earned a lifetime pass to the Virginia Marine Science Museum. She spent most of her life in Washington, DC metro area, where she worked for the Marriott Corp. in dining rooms of various Crystal City Hotels. She was preceded in death by a sister Olive Stauffer and a brother Chester Thorne.

She is survived by one son John R. Dawson, Jr. of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Mary Virginia Weddington of Tampa, Fl and Debbie Longacre of Alamogordo, NM; six grandchildren, Sean Dawson of Jessup, MD, Galen Dawson of Virginia Beach, Mary E. Lusung of Zephyr Hills, Fl, Daniel C. Weddington of Zephyr Hills, Fl, Nicole and Kristopher Longacre both of Alamogordo, NM; and one great-grandchild Nicole Dawson of Jessup, MD.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26 from 6:00

I know this is a sad time for you and I hope your

memories of your Mom will bring always bring you comfort.

She loved you very much and you know that. She’s

at peace now and in God’s hands. My best wishes and

Mr. John R. Dawson,

We know that your alone now, but that’s not the end of your world, remember that shes is now in peace with the hand of OUR ALMIGHTY ONE, we know that shes loves you shes don’t like to see you now that your sad, remember that shes always there around you, shes watch’s you always.

Your mom well be happy when shes look at you that your happy, so dont be sad.
