Virginia Beach- Norma Frances Thorne Dawson, 77, died March 21, 2001 in a local hospital. She was a volunteer and earned a lifetime pass to the Virginia Marine Science Museum. She spent most of her life in Washington, DC metro area, where she worked for the Marriott Corp. in dining rooms of various Crystal City Hotels. She was preceded in death by a sister Olive Stauffer and a brother Chester Thorne.
She is survived by one son John R. Dawson, Jr. of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Mary Virginia Weddington of Tampa, Fl and Debbie Longacre of Alamogordo, NM; six grandchildren, Sean Dawson of Jessup, MD, Galen Dawson of Virginia Beach, Mary E. Lusung of Zephyr Hills, Fl, Daniel C. Weddington of Zephyr Hills, Fl, Nicole and Kristopher Longacre both of Alamogordo, NM; and one great-grandchild Nicole Dawson of Jessup, MD.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26 from 6:00

memories of your Mom will bring always bring you comfort.
She loved you very much and you know that. She’s
