Bob, I remember our times at OSU and our summer at Wheeling Steel–Benwood and Steubenville. I remember traveling from Bellaire back to Columbus with your gracious parents.

Dear Gary and family,

Nelle was special. I remember her at Dankworth’s Drug Store where my mom managed the soda fountain, the parties at our house with Nelle and her guitar and the songs she sang. She could be so funny. I will never forget her. May God bless you and your family in your loss.

Gary and Family,

Hugs to you all. The world has lost a wonderful person. And I know your world has a huge void. But, we can all smile, knowing she’s breathing easier and I suspect she’s entertaining all of heaven, her friends and family that preceded her. I know they’re thrilled she’s among them. I know too that my Mom will be much happier to be back side by side with her “Best Friend” Nelle. I have great memories of Nelle, the smiles and laughter from her stories and jokes. And oh how she could make me blush. But I also remember that very caring side of Nelle. She loved her family dearly. I admired her zest for life. She was a rare one – a very special lady. Many many many people loved her. More hugs, Betty Jane

Grandma Hill had great passion for life and a wonderful sense of humor. I remember when she played and sang with the band at Bunker and Lori’s wedding! What a great lady!

Our thoughts are with you all.

Here is to Nell’s life! She lived it well and made an impression on each and every person she met…. may we all stive to live as well……………..

Life should NOT be

a journey to the grave

with the intention of arriving

safely in an attractive and

well preserved body,

but rather to skid in sideways,

chocolate in one hand,

wine in the other,

body thoroughly used up,

totally worn out

and screaming ëWOO HOO…

what a ride!í

So sorry about the loss of your mom. She was a wonderful neighbor to us and always had a “hello” and a smile. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Mrs. Hill’s own remarkable qualities were reflected in the lives of her children. In many ways she had not had an easy life. She was also one of the funniest people I ever met, a great storyteller and always ready to laugh at herself. We will surely miss her.

Thinking of you at this time of sorrow. Nell was a very special Lady, that I’ve know ever since joining the Ladies Oriental Shrine in Wheeling. She brightened many of our days. She’ll be missed by many. Sincerely, Phyllis Harvey

We went one condolence but I do not see it. You had your Mom a long time, I lost mine when I was 35. Your parents went dancing with Dick’s. I loved her, she made me laugh and gave me lots of good advice. My Mom loved her, too. I think of her when I go back to Bellaire, and pass her house. Much love and always remember her. love, Dick and Blanche Goetze
