VAVROCK, Nancy Jean Fullerton, 81, of McMechen, WV, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Peterson Hospital.
She was born December 10, 1929 in McMechen, a daughter of the late George Harry Fullerton and Wilma Marple Fullerton.
She loved to dance, was a retired employee of Ohio Valley Medical Center, past member of the McMechen Church of God, St. James Catholic Church and the Bishop Donahue Boosters Club where she enjoyed working the concessions stand and chaperoned dances.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Charles Vavrock, step-mother, Erma Fullerton, two brothers, Glen Fullerton, Baptist Brother Dick Fullerton, three sisters-in-law, Bertha Fullerton, Rose Mary Vavrock Johnson and Connie Fullerton Derrow, mother and father in law, Matthew and Mary Vavrock.
Surviving are her seven children, Mike Theresa Vavrock of Benwood; Chuck Bonnie Vavrock of Benwood; Pat Mary Jude Vavrock of Morgantown, WV; Mary Jean Tom Bozenske of Martins Ferry, OH; Julie Glen Robinson of McMechen; Glen Vavrock Jae Roysden of Flushing, OH; Jodie Joe Hlebiczki of Cabot, PA; a brother, Frank Fullerton of Moundsville, WV; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and special friends, Eddie and JoAnn Hinerman of Benwood.
The family would like to give its heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Peterson Hospital, they are truly angels.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Arthritis Foundation, West Virginia or the charity of the donor’s choice.
