MABEL ANITA GYLES

Mabel Anita Gyles, 77, passed away on December 3, 2003. Nancy as she was known to her family and friends was born in Chester, Pennsylvania to the late William and Mabel Hewitt MacMillan and was the widow of Alfred George Gyles, both longtime residents of Boothwyn, Pennsylvania. Nancy was a retired voting machine custodian for Delaware County, Pennsylvania

Nancy is survived by a brother, Malcolm and Dee MacMillan of Tempe, Arizona; sister, Ruth Cooper of Devon, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Myrtle Browne of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; two sons, George David and Dorothy L. Gyles of Lore City, Ohio, and Alan Gyles of Virginia Beach, Virginia; foster son, Richard and Jean Setzer of Santee, California; five grandchildren, Matthew, Rebbecca, Mary, Joshua, and Elizabeth; two foster grandchildren, Brian and Marsha; and six great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jeremiah, Annastasia, Joy, Sarah and Samuel.

A private memorial service for the family will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2003.

Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorial donations may be sent to the Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad at P.O. Box 62345 Virginia Beach, Virginia 23466-2345.

Nancy our son-in-law’s mother was a very precious lady. We didn’t see her much since she moved to Va. Beach but we communicated with Christmas cards, etc. We will miss her.
