Stephan, Milton B., 86, formerly of St. Clairsville and Wheeling, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville.
He was a Christian by faith, and retired Purchasing Coordinator of Consolidated Aluminum Company of Hannibal, Ohio. He was a veteran of the US Navy during World War II, a life-long member of the Belmont Hills Country Club, and a member of the Order of Demolay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rueben A. and Margaret J. Baumann Stephen. Surviving are his wife, Mary Isabelle Mary Belle Sibert Stephan; a son, John Milton Stephan and his wife Patricia of Morristown, Ohio; a daughter, Alison Lee Ali Bowman, with whom he resided; a twin brother, Thomas A. E. Stephan and his wife Nita of Wheeling, four grandchildren, Christopher Steven Bowman, Mark Lee Bowman and his wife Shannon and Michael Jay Bowman all of Wheeling, a step-granddaughter, Carol Conquest and a great-granddaughter, Taylor Marie Bowman of Martins Ferry, Ohio; several nephews and nieces.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. Liturgy of the Word will held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Paul Yuenger officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Services Systems of Wheeling.
