Mike J. Volino

Age: 79

Mike J. Volino, 79, of Pennsylvania Avenue, East Liverpool, died suddenly at his home on Friday, September 28, 2001. He was born in Wellsville, OH, on February 14, 1922, a son of the late Joseph Luigi Volino and Josephine Sepe Volino.

Mr. Volino was a lifelong area resident working maintenance at Globe Brick for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing wherever there were fish and water.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Noland Volino, whom he married January 30, 1965; four sons: Thomas Volino of Virginia Beach, VA, Paul Volino and his wife, Sue, of Wellsville, OH, James E. Melott and his wife, Teresa, of Salineville, OH and Robert W. Melott of Alliance, OH; four daughters: Mary Jo Volino of Wellsville, OH, Cheryl Melnick of East liverpool, OH, Doris Melott and her fiance, Kenny Drake, of Alliance, OH and Patricia Hill and her husband Herbert of Minerva, OH; four brothers: Rocco Volino of Gulf Port, FL, Ralph Volino of East liverpool, OH, Dominic Volino of East liverpool, OH and James Volino of Wellsville, OH; three sisters: Rosa Maggio of Auburn, NY, Fannie Jarvis of Alhambra, CA and Annie Volino of Wellsville, OH; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers: Sam and Emanuel Volino.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steve Huskey of the First Assembly of God Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Monday, October 1, 2001 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
