BRADEN, Michael W. Sr., 87, of Sherwood Ave., Wheeling, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at home.
He was a retired supervisor from the West Virginia Dept. of Highways and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling.
He was an Army-Air Corps veteran of World War II and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member and past commander of the American Legion Post No. 1, Wheeling.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Tyres Braden; a son, Ronald Braden; his parents, William and Grace Moran Braden; and a brother, Kenneth Braden.
He is survived by a son, Michael W. Jr., and his wife, Deborah of Wheeling; two daughters, Suzanne Barry and her husband, Jack of Wheeling, and Brenda Evans of Weirton; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, where services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. H. Joseph Wilhelm S.M. officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
