JOSEPH, Michael, 83, of Wheeling, WV, died Saturday, January 19, 2002, at home. He was retired from Standard Sand and Gravel Co., was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Roman Catholic Church, Wheeling, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Wheeling, was past president and secretary of the Bethlehem Kiwanis Club, a member of the board of directors of the Volunteer Fire Department, a councilman and recorder for the village of Bethlehem, past president of Bethlehem Heritage, and a member of Elks Lodge 28 of Wheeling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Rocheda John Joseph; three brothers, Amien, George, and John Joseph; a sister, Jenney Joseph; his first wife, Gertrude Joseph. Survivors include his wife, Patty Laughlin Joseph; a son, Michael Joseph, Jr. of Bethleham, PA; two sisters, Cecelia Joseph of Wheeling and Esther Menear and her husband, Otto, of fort Lauderdale, FL.; two grandchildren, Matthew and Meghan Joseph of Bethleham, PA; a stepdaughter Ruth Ann Manchese and her husband, Frank, of Bellaire, OH, step-grandsons, Christopher and Shaun Manchese of Bellaire,; a step-grandaughter Michelle Borsenskio and her husband, Greg, of Columbus, Great-Grandaughter, Alyssa Borsenkskio of Columbus; a stepson, Jeffrey Hennessey and his wife, Cyndee of St. Petersburg, Fl; step Grandsons, Jeffrey J. Hennessey of Martins Ferry, OH and Cory Hennessey of St. Petersburg, FL; step-Grandaughters Kathy Hennessey of St. Petersburg, FL and Heather Skrzypek and her husband, Robert, of Wheeling; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, in Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Roman Catholic Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Bakkos Chidiac as celebrant. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lebanon Roman Catholic Church, 2216 Eoff St., Wheeling, WV 26003 or to Valley Hospice of Wheeling.
