Michael Mike Mick, 84, of Midway, Ohio, died Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Forest Hills Nursing Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Mike was born December 17, 1923 in Midway, Ohio, a son of the late George and Verona Kasarda Mick.
Mike was a retired pumper for Consol Energy, Franklin High Wall Mine and a former barber in Bellaire.
He was Catholic by faith; a WWII Army Air Corps veteran; a member of American Legion Post 666 of Maynard, Ohio; and an avid bowler.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Matilda Hobart Mick; two infant sons; and two infant daughters.
Surviving are his daughter, Karin and her husband, Peter Thompson, St. Clairsville; his brother; Joe Mick, Midway, Ohio, his sister; Helen Kopral, St. Clairsville, his grandson; Ryan Michael and his wife Shanna Weyrauch, Coraopolis, PA. and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 31, 2008 , at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory, 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950, with Father Thomas Graven officiating.
Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
American Legion services will be held at 12:45 PM at the funeral home.

Dear Ryan and Family,, I am so sorry for the loss of your Dear Grabdfather.I know he meant the world to you.. Ronnie always spoke so highly of him..
