Mike,

Just think, there are no vending machines to fill in heaven. Everything is laid out on a golden platter. To the family, rest and be at peace, knowing your love one is at peace and resting.

Mike,

Thanks for all the red bulls and chocolate to get through all those mid watches. You inspired me to continue to take care of my Sailors!! Your family is in my prayers.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

We remember Mike always grinning. We also remember his interest in following the latest news in the airline industry, with a particular interest in the colorful liveries of the aircraft. His favorite airline was Alitalia – as you might expect. You can also expect that right now he’s flying higher than any aircraft… in a place that trumps first class, comfortably waiting to again see those who knew and loved him.

I had the pleasure of serving with Withrow on the Paul Foster, we even hung out at a county dance hall a few times. He really loved life and is dearly missed. RIP shipmate and prayers for the family.
