Melissa A. Wood “fought the good fight”, but her long battle with Colon Cancer came to an end February 15, 2015. Melissa was born June 29th, 1984 in Norfolk, VA.She was a graduate of Granby High School and attended Tidewater Commmunity College.
In 2012 she began her career as a Criminal Docket Clerk with the Norfolk Circuit Court. She loved
this job and spoke about going back to work up to her last day.
She is survived in death by her parents, Johnny and Roberta, her younger sister Kimberly, and a myriad of family and friends.
Melissa’s contagious smile and positive attitude will continue to provide inspiration to many. A service to celebrate Melissa’s life will be held, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Altmeyer funeral home. In lieu of

I am truly going to miss that beautiful smile Melissa always had on her face.
