Maxine M. Henson
Age 84

Maxine M. Henson, 84, of Alice Street, East Palestine, Ohio died Monday, September 15, 2003 at home following a lengthy illness.

She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on January 29, 1919, the daughter of the late Charles and Nora Burton Talbott.

Mrs. Henson, living her entire life in the area, was the owner of the former Lee’s Market in Glenmoor.

Her husband, Leander Henson, whom she married July 3, 1946, died August 19, 1991.

She is survived by a son, David D. Henson and his wife Karen of Oregon City, Oregon; a daughter, Deborah Leipply and her husband Warren, with whom she resided; a brother, Charles G. Talbott and his wife Goldie of East Liverpool, Ohio; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Talbott and a sister, Faye Wright.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 15872 St. Clair Avenue, Calcutta, Ohio 43920, on Thursday, September 18, 2003 at 1:30 PM with Pastor Brian Hassel of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church of East Palestine, Ohio, officiating

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
