Dear Cindy, Carol, Rosanna, Sharon and families,

We are so sad about the passing of your mom, who I called “Aunt Tillie”. She was a beautiful and wonderful person, and I know you will miss her very much. I remember her great smile and the twinkle in her eye. I hope you can be comforted by her memory and the knowledge that the love she had for all of you is carried on by all of you in the love you have created with your families and friends. I wish we could be with you, but we will be with you in spirit.

Love from your cousin “Tommy”, and family Glenda, Sarah and Daniel

Dear Nanny,

what a heartache it is for me to know your gone. To me, you are never truelly gone. I love you. I have so many memories of us. Since me and mom saw you every day, living just a few minutes from you. I can remember all the good things you did for me. I can remember your giving heart, your kind soul, and your strong will. I want you to know I’m doing well in college and that me and qi are now engaged. I take solace in knowing that I’m right were you hoped I would be. I’m thankful for that last conv. on my cell a few days before you went in to surgery. I love you and you deserve heaven. Yet I still can’t believe your gone. We’ve been so close for 21 years. I will never forget you and always hold you to my heart.

you were a jewel who is now an angel.

“I LOVE YOU NANNIE”

your grandson 4 ever,

I loved my Nannie more than anyone could know. We were very close and did a lot of things together. Long talks on trips, our bowling days, our lunches, all of the times she tried to get me to cook food and wear jewelry, and most of all the time she spent in my chair getting her hair done. I am thankful for that time we had together. I will love her forever and I thank God for relieving her of her pain and suffering. I love you Nannie.

I remember eating her chocolate bananas and playing with her toy train set when I was very, very young. I’m glad she lived long enough to experience one of her grand children getting married, I’m sure that meant a lot to her. I will miss her nannyisms at Thanksgiving dinner, things won’t be the same without her.

Love you Nanny,

Adam

One image stands out of Aunt Tillie combing Cindy’s long red hair and making sausage curls by wrapping the hair around her fingers. I’d never seen anyone do that, and boy, was I impressed! She loved her family and could make a home for them anywhere in the world. Our hearts are with you. I’m so glad you all were with her at the end.

Sharon, I have shard the memory often of my itaian friend and her wonderful family home. I was always happy to be at your house and be part of the love between you and your parents and sisters. I particularly remember your parents italian sauce with pepperoni, chicken legs and vegetables cooking all day but we could eat anytime we were hungry and their sauce made us hungry.

I am sorry for your loss; I know it is hard to say good bye to your sweet mom.
