Matilda C. Bott, 87, of East Cove Avenue, Wheeling, died Saturday, November 17, 2001, at home. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Wheeling. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul John Bott, her parents, Adam F. and Anna F. Auth Stenger, four brothers, Louis, Edward, Adam, and Joseph Stenger, two sisters, Loretta Denning and Anna George.
Surviving is her husband, Paul A. Bott, four daughters, Matilda A. Kolesza of Steubenville, OH, Elizabeth ”Betty” Hawley and her husband Thomas of Louisville, OH, Loretta Riesbeck and her husband William of St. Clairsville, OH, and Charlene Kuehnle and her husband Edward of Worthington, OH. One sister, Margeret Pfalzgraf of Canton, OH, four grandchildren, Paul Riesbeck, Brian Riesbeck, Kimberly Riesbeck Salvador and her husband Chris, and Edward J. Kuehnle. A great-grandson Ian Salvador and a special person to Matilda, Marcella Killeen.
Friends will be received at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove on Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling, withthe Rev. H. Joseph Wilhelm, S.M., as celebrant. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
