OBITUARY NOTICE

Mary Urso
Age 100

Mary Urso, 100 years young and a ledged in her own right, of Naples, FL passed away at home on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. She was born in East Liverpool, OH on January 2, 1911 and was the daughter of the late Dominick and Silvia Yanni Sacco.

Living most of her life in the area, until moving to Florida in 1993, Mary worked at the former Crucible Steel Mill as a heater during World War II era, and then at the Hall China Company as a decorator.

Her husband, Domenic “Dee” Urso died April 7, 2002. They were married August 31, 1932.

She is survived by a son, Anthony Maglior and a daughter, Jacqueline A. Urso, both of Naples, FL; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her many relatives, she leaves an extended family in Naples who came to know her as ‘Momma Mary’ and her “buddy”, Ellen and her mother, Mildred.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, a daughter, Sylvia, and a daughter-in-law, Joyce, three brothers: Jack, Frank and Tony Sacco and a sister, Josephine Adams.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Father Charles Crumbley and Reverend John Nuzzo officiating.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Parkinson Association of Southwest Florida, Inc. The Domenic Urso Fund 2950 Tamiami Trail North Suite 20 Naples, Fl. 34103.

An inspiration & loving person to all who knew Aunt Mary. Her humor & kindness was uplifting & to know her was to love her. The Ohioville neighbors always felt her love, concern & happiness. She will be greatly missed & our sympathy goes to her family, friends. She was/is an angel.

I was so sad to hear of Mary’s passing. She was always such a joyful and upbeat lady. When she would see my husband Al and I she would smile and open her arms for a hug. My prayers are with you, Mary, and with your family as well.
