Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there. I did not die.

Although Rosie will be missed by us all, we must remember that now she is with Pap as they both look down upon us.

I was deeply saddened when I heard of Rose’s passing. I will always remember her as the happy, fun loveing woman with the beautiful flowers, passing out Bob’s cookies, that I met when she lived on Frazier Run. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. My children and I are very sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mary Rose was such a sweet person who

I met recently. She loved her family

so much and had such a great sense of

humor, I was glad to get to know her.

She reminded me so much of my grand-

mother. I know her family will miss

her, they took such good care of her

Thank you to all of the family, friends, and neighbors who visited us at the funeral home this weekend and those who contacted the family about Mom’s passing. Mom’s memorial service being held on Mother’s Day was perfect for Mom since her #1 priority in life was her job of being mother and grandmother. She did it very well and we will all miss her.

I don’t remember my great great grandmother very well, as I was only 7 when she passed, but I do remember the smell of her house. How warm and inviting it was, even the those last years. I remember the little room I slept in reading my favorite book. I remember seeing all my great great grandfathers handmade furniture. I truly wish I could’ve had more time with her, and maybe formed a deeper connection/bond with her.
