KANIECKI, Mary M. Grunski, 83, formerly of North Wheeling, died Tuesday September 23, 2003 at Crestview Health Care Center. She was a former employee of Uwanta Linen Company, Wheeling, an active member of the former Sacred Heart Parish, Wheeling, and a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Kaniecki, Sr., a daughter, Jane S. Paulus, her parents, Jacob and Mary Grunski, two sisters, Ann Sikora and Stella Wojcicki, and a brother, Steve Grunski. Surviving are a son, Stanley Kaniecki, Jr., and his wife Jacqueline of Wheeling, a daughter, Mary Ann White of Wheeling, a sister, Cecilia Runiewicz of Windsor Heights, WV, six grandsons, David White, Eric M. Kaniecki, Brent J. Kaniecki, Stanley J. Kaniecki, III, Mark J. Kaniecki, and Jack Y. Kaniecki, six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling, with the Rev. Larry Dorsch as celebrant. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to Wheeling Central High School or St. Joseph Cathedral Parish.

Dear Stan and Jackie and Family:

So sorry to hear about your mom. I remember her from Grandparents Day at St. Mike’s when she used to come for your kids. She was such a sweet and friendly person. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
