Dear Friends,
Tom and I met Mary Jo when our son Mark and Teka were married. What a great person she was! So much fun! On the morning of the wedding, my sister Theresa and I met Cindy and Mary Jo at a local coffee shop and the 4 of us “girls” spent time just visiting and getting to know each other better. I wish there had been other times when our families could have been together to just “hang out” and get to know each other. Mary Jo meant so much to Teka, and that tells us that Mary Jo must have been a really good and kind person. Teka always speaks highly of Mary Jo, and I know that she meant a great deal to Cindy too. Please accept our deepest sympathy and our prayers during this difficult time. We ask God to be with your whole family in a special way during these coming days and months.
I am so deeply saddened to learn of Mary Jo’s passing! My thoughts and prayers are with her husband and children, and their families, as I know that she IS a great Mother, Wife and best of all friend to all. Mary Jo and I had a friendship unlike any that I ever experienced before…she was like a Mother to me and I will miss her very much! I praise God for allowing me the opportunity to spend such wonderful time with a WONDERFUL and AMAZING woman! May the Lord comfort and bless all who knew her!
I am so sorry to hear about Mary Jo. We were high school classmates and I remember her fondly. I recall her as quiet but very sweet. My condolences to all!
I am so sorry to hear of Mary Jo’s passing. I used to see her at various shops all the time. Shari cut my hair but Mary Jo and I would talk politics, & religion all the time. Shari was always running late so we always had time to talk. I first met her at Michaels Hair Design then at New Beginnings. I was trying to talk her into getting her concealed carry permit. I enjoyed our conversations so much. She got me started on the Left Behind Series of religiious books. Davette, I used to see you frequently. Again I am so sorry to hear this news. God be with you all in this time of sorrow.
I came to funeral for only a second, signed the book walked up to say goodbye. I was taken by emotion and had to leave. I could not even speak to David, Missy or Davette, it was awful to see you laying there in that casket. I would only like to say that GOD took another angel when he took you. This is the only way I can express how I feel about you to your family. You started doing my Mom’s hair and she recommended you to me. I was in my 20’s and Mom was still with us, then you were at The Powder Puff, I followed you where ever you went from there I believe it was to MJ’s Cut & Curl, then to Spoiled Rott’N, then to Michael’s and New Beginnings by MJ. I will miss you greatly my friend. Keep a seat open and the a dryer running, I am sure I will need a new hairdo when we meet again.
I remember Mary Jo from school and am so very sorry. Prayers are with her family.

To MJ’s family,
I was so saddened to hear of MJ’s passing today. MJ did my hair for years, and I always looked forward to coming home to the Valley to catch up with her and see how she was doing. She did my hair for my wedding, and she knew before I even told her that I was pregnant with my children based on my hair texture. She was such a talented hairdresser, but more importantly, she was a great friend. I will miss her dearly. My sincerest sympathies to all of you.
To MJ’s family,
MJ did my hair for many years and I considered her a friend. I will greatly miss her as I know all of you will. You have my deepest sympathy.
