I am so saddened to hear of “Jose’s” passing, but I am glad that her suffering is over. Mary Jo was a treasured member of our Class of ’62 at Mount de Chantal. And, she was extra-special to me because we shared our names and almost shared a birthday! I pray that her suffering in the past few years has earned her an express ticket to heaven. I send my sincerest condolances to her sister, Kissy, and to her children and grandchild.

Mary Jo Jose, Christine Kissy and I then Nick Petropluslived under the same roof 11 Locust Avenue from December 1951 to June 1957, when I left for Ohio to pursue my university studies. While in Wheeling, A. W. Petroplus my father’s first cousin and Mary O’Kane Petroplus took me into their home and treated me like their own son. Although Mary Jo and Kissy were my cousins, they accepted me in their home as a brother. The good reminiscences from these childhood days make growing old more tolerable. It is indeed sad that Mary Jo did not have the opportunity to grow old, to enjoy her children and grandchildren. My warmest condolences to her sister Kissy, to her son T.J., to her daughter Dana and to her grand-daughter.
