Mary H. Lucas Kuzma, 84, of Wheeling, died Monday, April 23, 2001, in Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital and Geriatric Center.
She was a homemaker; a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling; and a member of Jenota of St. Michael Catholic Church, Munhall, PA.
She was born December 3, 1916, in Munhall, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Martin Lucas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Kuzma; and two brothers, Andrew and Frank Lucas.
Surviving are two daughters Lorraine K. Chvasta and her husband, Dr. Thomas, of Wheeling and Gerrie K. Hartman of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Ann Hays and Irene Kundravi, both of Munhall; two brothers, Joseph Lucas and his wife, Marge, of Munhall and Eugene ”Gene” Lucas of Homestead, PA.; four grandchildren, Ted Chvasta of Wheeling, Marcyrose Chvasta of Carbondale, Ill., Matthew Hartman of Dallas, Texas, and Mark Hartan of Chicago; and a great-granddaughter, Kali Hartan of Dallas.
Friends received 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Wheeling. Vigil services 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral liturgy with Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. James Sobus as celebrant. Interment in St. Wendelin Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, Development Fund or Our Lady of Consolata Mission Fund.
