Mary Emma BOYD

BOYD, Mary Emma Williams, 86, formerly of South Front Street, Wheeling Island, died Sunday, April 28, 2002, in Brightwood Nursing Home, Follansbee, WV. She was born Feb. 28, 1916, in Wellsburg, WV, daughter of the late Watkins J. and Ellen Richardson Williams. She was retired from Bill’s Farm Fresh on Wheeling Island. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband William Thomas Boyd and a sister, Dorothy Smith. Surviving are a son, William Thomas Tom Boyd, Jr. of Wheeling, a daughter, Nancy L. Jacobs of Tiltonsville, Ohio, four grandchildren, William Bo Jacobs, Vonja Jeff Dowdle, Erin Boyd, William Boyd, III, and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, with the Rev. Edward Kraft officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville at the convenience of the family.
