Mary Ellen Masciarelli DiSantis, 97, of Colerain, OH, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, in OVMC, Wheeling.

She was born October 5, 1910 in Moundsville, WV, a daughter of the late Antonio and Ernesta Roberti Masciarelli.

Mary was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband John Joseph DiSantis in 1990, 3 brothers; Nick, Pete, and Marion Masciarelli, 2 sisters; Helen Brice and Violet Orfie and a great great grandson.

Surviving are 3 children; Violet Thomas and her husband Robert of Moundsville, Emily Icenhour and her husband William of Martins Ferry, Joseph DiSantis and his wife Sharon of Dayton, OH, a brother Waldo Masciarelli of Shadyside, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441-37th St., Bellaire.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donors choice.

I wish to express my condolences and the sympathies of everyone at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home to the family of Mary. I will remember her at Mass in our chapel that is attended by our residents at ll:55 AM. Please contact me if there is any way we can be of spiritual help.
