Barbara:

Leonard and I are sad to learn of Mary’s passing, but we rejoyce that she has gone to a wonderful new home, and is released from the pain she has so patiently endured for so long. You were the most compassionate, loyal and loving daughter anyone could have.your love for your mother was so obvious. I remember when Mary was able, how she loved to share her cooking talent with her nurse and how friendly she was to me when we met on clinic days-years ago. God Bless and comfort you and your family. Sorry I cannot attend Mary’s funeral-it is on my treatment day.

I am so very sorry and saddened to learn of “Mama V’s” passing. I always enjoyed to take care of her in the dialysis unit. She was a wonderful lady and reminded me of many of the beautiful qualities of my own mother.I keep on my home bulleten board the photos Barbara took of me with her.Mrs Vasko was truly an inspirational lady whom I never heard complain even when things were not going so well. She will surely be missed at the dialysis unit and definetly by me. I loved to hear her talk what she liked to cook! Again , my sympathies go out to the whole family.

God Bless you all,

Janice Khorram

To the Vasko family,

Mike and I want to let you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Mary, a special, wonderful person will missed so much by so many. I Nancy first met her while growing up and will always treasure some great memories of a great person. As an adult, I even had the pleasure to be her next door neighbor.

You are a strong family and will be able to support each other during this difficult time.

Sympathy to all, Nancy and Mike

We are so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. She was such a special lady, wife, and mother. I remember Mary best for her kind words of encouragement and her generous smile.

I came to know Mrs. Vasko when I first started coming over to play in the back yard with Michael and Anthony. Stan was still in diapers. She seemed to always be cooking up something great in that small kitchen while she kept a watchful eye out the back door on what we were about to do to make a mess or get hurt.

I always admired how hard she worked when Mike was away in the Navy and she had to keep her brood going. I can still see her walking the kids up to Wards Corner or faithfully to Church. It seems so appropriate that she later would have ducks to brood after all the kids were grown. Devin and Lauren remember her as that nice lady with the duck down the street from their grandparents.

I know you wll all miss her but you will have great memories to cherish and the satisfaction of knowing that your Mom and Wife was so specal to so many.

P.S. I did not hear of your Mom’s passing until after the funeral or I would have been there. I wish I could have seen each of you and offer my condolences in person. If you have email, please drop me a note when you get a chance.
