Mary Elizabeth Noller Dean, 72, of McMechen, died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, in Crestview Health Care Center, St. Clairsville. She was born April 22, 1929, in Moundsville, WV, a daughter of late Charles E. ”Jack” and Gladys Sponaugle Noller.

She was retired from the City of McMechen and was a member of St. James Catholic Church in McMechen.

Also preceding her in death was a brother, David E. Noller.

Surviving are two sons, David Dean and his wife, Cheryl of McMechen and Richard Dean and his wife, Deb of Glen Dale, WV; two daughters, Deborah Dean of St. Clairsville and Pamela Lynn and her husband, Rodger of Martins Ferry, Ohio; two sisters, Phyllis Estep of Moundsville and Grace ”Bobbie” Jack and her husband, Donald of Dale City, Va.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three nieces; and a nephew.

Friends will be received on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with Vigil services being held at 7:30 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall St., McMechen. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, McMechen, with the Rev. Gervase Cain, T.O.R., officiating. Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard.
