Mary E. DeMarco 87 of Shadyside, Ohio died Tuesday August 19, 2008 at the Shadyside Care Center in Shadyside, Ohio.

She was born December 28, 1920 in Altoona, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Harry Rollason.

Mary was a retired receptionist for the former Buckeye Savings Bank in Bellaire, Ohio and a Presbyterian by faith.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Herman R. DeMarco on April 16, 2002 and her stepmother, Hortense Rollason.

Surviving are two sisters, Jane Heathcote of Bellaire, Ohio and Catherine Burr in Oklahoma, two sisters-in-law, Ida D. Mazur of Shadyside, Ohio and Sophie Bovenizer of Hamilton, Ohio. Also several nieces and nephews.

At Mary’s request there will be no visitation. Graveside services with inurnment will be held on Saturday August 30, 2008 at 1 pm at the Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Clairsville, Ohio with the Rev. Alice L. Phillips officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Hospice, Inc., 132 Peters Run Road, Wheeling, West 03 or the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research at EB Funds, Fifth Third Bank, 5540 Cheviot Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45247.

Dear Ida and Mary’s family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Mary was a very special lady with always a smile and kind words. She is in a wonderful place, I’m sure, because she was so gracious and considerate to all who came in contact with her. God Bless you All
