Mary Elizabeth Blatt

Mary Elizabeth Mokosh Blatt, 89, of Elm Grove, died Tuesday, June1, 2004 at home.
Born in Wheeling on August 10, 1914, Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica Orisek Mokosh. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elm Grove.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband John G. Blatt in 1976; a granddaughter Penny Blatt; two sisters, Betty Mokosh and Catherine Nowacky and three brothers, Joseph, Steven and Paul Mokosh.
Surviving are four daughters, Mary Eble of Lansing, Ohio, Carolyn Blatt of Wheeling, Nancy Freeman of Valley Grove, and Kathy Kramer and her husband Bernie of Wheeling; three sons, John J. Blatt and Jim Blatt and his wife Peg all of Wheeling, Richard Blatt and his wife Renee of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Pauline Heslop and Virginia Mokosh both of Wheeling; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Thursday, June 3, 2004 from 2-8 p.m.
Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elm Grove. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Vigil services will be held Thursday evening at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 98 East Cove Ave., Wheeling, WV.
