Norfolk; Mary E. Harper, 83, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2006.
She was born in Burlington, NC the daughter of the late John Bradshaw Turner and Jenny Cranford Turner. Her son Richard G. Justice, Jr. and a adopted son, Warren Raymond Cooke passed away before her.
Mrs. Harper retired from Civil Service. She was a member of Coleman Place Presbyterian Church for many years where she belonged to the Circle Group. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and loved to square dance.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth W. Justice, daughter, Shirley McGlauflin and her husband Joseph both of Norfolk; brother, Frank Turner of Summerville, SC; three sisters, Evelyn Curl of Graham, NC, Lula Turner of Mr. Airy, NC, Gwendolyn Butler of Trinity, NC; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in Coleman Place Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Graham, NC. The family would like to thank Sentara Hospice and Vi Lang, Evelyn Barnes and Cassandra Weeks for their loving care and support. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
